Aero-TV: 5 Questions At Oshkosh -- What's Wrong with GA/What's the Solution?

After Looking At The Positive Side Of Things, Let's Get Serious And See What's NOT So Good In The Aero-World

A few days ago, we noted that we really didn't have to tell you that these are difficult times for aviation. After decades of stunted growth, the wiles of a bad economy, tough politics and escalating complication have driven way too many flyers out of the world of flight.

Still... it does have a few things that keep people entranced and that said, we took a look at the bright side of the issue -- but NOW its time to delve into the problems we face. Over the course of a few days at Oshkosh 2011, the Aero-TV crews took a break now and then to question the attendees about what concerned them about the aviation world.

We all know that we have problems to fix... but the fact of the matter is that aviation remains a driving force in the lives of hundreds of thousands of people the world over... and for several very good reasons. That being the case, it still behooves to take an honest look at the problems we face so that we may start a process of corrective and upgrade.

If we're going to fix our collective ills at some point down the road, it's time to be honest about all that ails us so that we may apply valid and aggressive corrections to an industry that has seen far better times... but not in quite a while.
