VFS Hosting Electric Aircraft Symposium In Oshkosh

19th Annual Event Showcases AAM Just Prior To AirVenture

The Vertical Flight Society announced that dozens of the world’s electric aircraft developers and tech experts will be presenting at the 19th Annual Electric Aircraft Symposium (EAS) which will be hosted by VFS in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on July 19-20, 2025, the weekend just prior to the EAA AirVenture, the world's largest aviation celebration also in Oshkosh at the Wittman Regional Airport (OSH) from July 21-27.

More than 35 experts will participate in this year’s EAS in 12 in-depth moderated discussions that will cover the full range of topics across the entire advanced air mobility – AAM – Industry.

Well-known for their technical deep-dives and collaborative environment, VFS events provide attendees with in-depth insights and information in this rapidly-growing cutting-edge segment of aviation.

Topics will include innovative concepts like personal and commercial electric vertical, short, and conventional takeoff and landing aircraft (referred to as eVTOL, eSTOL, and eCTOL), pilot training requirements, commercial air taxis, electric training aircraft, and regional air mobility.

Propulsion systems such as battery-electric, hybrid-electric, and hydrogen electric vehicles will also be presented, along with aircraft certification, first responder missions, flight testing, standards development, infrastructure design, construction, and integration, and uncrewed applications.

The Electric Aircraft Symposium is the world’s longest-running meeting for electric aviation technology. It was first held in the San Francisco Bay and Silicon Valley areas beginning in 2007, and transitioned to Oshkosh in 2017.

The Vertical Flight Society was founded as the American Helicopter Society in 1943 and has been a major player in the advancement of vertical flight. In its 80 years it has provided global leadership for scientific, technical, educational, and legislative activities to advance the state of the art in vertical flight.
