Zenith Aircraft Returns with Builder's Workshop at Wheels & Wings

Hands-On Opportunity to Pick up Aircraft Building Skills with the Experts at Florida's Cannon Creek Airpark

Zenith Aircraft will once again host its popular hands-on kit aircraft building workshop, taking to Wheels & Wings at Cannon Creek Airpark of northern Florida.

The course runs from December 2-3, and will provide all the needful to complete the rudder tail section of a Zenith aircraft from a standard kit, often completed within the first day or by the next morning. The process is a good choice to hone important skills for a home builder, from reading drawings and enacting assembly instructions to drilling and riveting the skin of the rudder. By the end, participants will have completed a ready-to-install rudder section for their own aircraft and picked up some of the most vital builder skills under the watchful eye of the manufacturers themselves.

Attendees may come with additional  kids, spouses, or sufficiently trained helper monkeys for no additional fee. A modest upcharge for the CH 750 Super Duty kit brings the total to $425, or $375 for the basic rudder kit (CH 750 STOL/Cruzer) and workshop experience. On December 3rd, the second day of the workshop, Cannon Creek Airpark will hold a Zenith fly in and Open House at Wings & Wheels.

For those who can't make it, Zenith Aircraft will hold one of its regular workshop classes at its kit factory in Mexico, Missouri from December 1 to 2. That workshop experience includes a more fleshed out experience that includes a factory tour, demo flight, and graduation ceremony for attendees who complete their rudder section. Given the factory location, the workshop has a slightly wider roster of options, with attendees able to choose from the high wing CH 750 series or the low wing CH 650 cruiser for their project.
