Terre Haute Air Show Adds Performers

F-22 Raptor, Others Added To The Roster

The organizers of the Terre Haute (IN) Air Show have added the USAF F-22 Raptor to the lineup of acts that will perform at the event August 18-19. The Raptor joins the Navy's Blue Angels on the schedule for the show.

Also booked for the show is the Tora! Tora! Tora! recreation of the attack on Pearl Harbor and the Tora Pyro Team. Several other warbirds, including the Trojan Thunder T-28 team are on the roster as well.

The Tribune Star newspaper reports that civilian acts include Indiana native Billy Werth, Matt Younkin, Greg Koontz and the Alabama Boys, and Jerry Kirby in Wild Blue. The show also will include the Patriot Parachute Team, made up mostly of former and current U.S. Navy Seals.

This is the first time in 11 years that a major air show has been presented in Terre Haute. It is expected to attract some 50,000 people and cost some $400,000. Sponsorships are expected to cover that cost.

General admission tickets are currently on sale at a discounted price of $10. The price increases to $15 after May 31, and will cost $20 at the gate.
