X-Air Delivers First Customer Aircraft At AirVenture 2008

Plane Sports A Base Price Less Than Half Of Many Rivals'

It's one of the most affordable factory-built light-sport aircraft on the market... and now, X-Air has officially delivered its first customer airplane. The company delivered what it hopes will be the first of many customer aircraft last week at AirVenture 2008.

"I can't tell you how excited I am to own this airplane and to work with the crew at X-Air," stated Mansfield. "From my initial interest in the LS all the way through the sales and delivery process, X-Air has been absolutely fabulous to work with."

Inspired by the EAA's "Spirit of Aviation" video, X-Air wanted to provide Mr. Mansfield an opportunity to take delivery at AirVenture to create an aviation memory of a lifetime. When AirVenture concludes Mansfield and X-Air's Flight Training Program Manager, Terry Brewer, will depart the show en route to San Diego, CA.

"It's a long haul but I am looking forward to seeing the beautiful country below us and enjoying my new plane," commented Mansfield.
"2008 has been an amazing year for X-Air. We've assembled a superior team of professionals, went through the ASTM consensus standard paces and are successfully building, selling and delivering aircraft," stated X-Air's David McRae. "To do all that in a mere matter of months is a tribute to the dedicated team that makes up the X-Air organization."

"Our demo schedule is filling up and public response is extremely positive," added Brewer, X-Air demo pilot. "The demo flights have been well received and people particularly enjoy the docile feel of the aircraft and the short field performance -- all for a base price of $46,900."

The LS comes standard with flaps, trim, ICom radio, Dynon engine monitor and basic flight instrumentation. Optional equipment includes wheel pants, extended fuel capability, Garmin GTX 327 and Garmin 396/495/496. X-Air is taking orders with a $1,000 refundable position deposit for the duration of AirVenture.
