Cirrus Names Patrick Waddick EVP Of Operations

Has Been With Planemaker Since The VK30 Days

Cirrus Design announced late Tuesday it has appointed Patrick Waddick as executive vice president, operations. Waddick has served as senior vice president of engineering at the general aviation planemaker since 2005.

"Patrick has been instrumental in the design, development and certification of the SR20 and SR22 and on-going innovation and evolution of the SR product line," said Cirrus Chairman and CEO Alan Klapmeier. "I am confident that Patrick's knowledge and experience will greatly contribute to the company's continued success."

A graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison, Waddick holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and has been with Cirrus since 1988. He participated in the VK30 program as Chief Engineer; led the engineering team through the design and construction of the ST50 turboprop aircraft as Engineering Manager and later as Director of Engineering; lead the development and certification of the SR20 and SR22. 

Waddick has been an active private pilot since 1988 and holds an instrument rating. In his new role, Waddick will oversee Customer Service, Flight Operations, Manufacturing and Manufacturing Services, Ownership Team, Product Assurance, Supply Chain, Grand Forks Facility, and Sustaining Engineering.

"I am equally inspired to work with such a world-class Operations team and look forward to helping Cirrus go to the next level in lean manufacturing and customer support."
