Heliport Design Course Offered via HAI Professional Education

3-Day Event Teaches Ins and Outs of Heliport Planning and Evaluation

The Helicopter Association International in a Heliport Planning and Evaluation Seminar, gaining 3 days of DOT Certificated training.

The course is designed to provide attendees with an understanding of the evaluation process and skills needed to evaluate a proposed or existing heliport. The class will include a classroom lecture component to cover material, and a series of hands-on practical exercises. Students are encouraged to bring their own personal equipment, like a GPS unit, rangefinder, and inclinometer. Students will work through a series of evaluations, worksheets, and practices to get a feel for the proper methods in the field. Once all the class sessions and practicals are through, the training will hold a capstone evaluation of a ground-based and rooftop heliport.

The course is open to NTSB Accident Investigators, state Department of Traffic personnel involved with aeronautics, municipal planning, zoning staff, ‘Authorities Having Jurisdiction’, heliport owners & operators, corporate flight departments, vertical flight infrastructure architects & engineers, heliport and vertiport consultants, FAA safety inspectors, airspace systems inspection pilots, procedure evaluation pilots, vertiport developers, and “anyone interested in vertical flight infrastructure”.

Attendees will earn a US DOT Certificate of Training.
