FAASTeam Announces Fabric Covering Webinar

WINGS & AMT Credit Up for Grabs

The FAA Aviation Safety folks will be putting on a free web-based seminar for those who want to learn the proper use, application, and maintenance of fabric aircraft coverings.

The webinar will be hosted on January 23rd, beginning at 15:30 EST/20:30Z. The long and short of it will show viewers the basics of fabric covering aircraft, presented by Experimental Aviation Association's Workshop instructor Nate Hammond. Hammond's career has seen him restore "just about every style of fabric-covered aircraft in existence", making him the perfect teacher to walk students through the use of aviation's most timeless, classic material.

The event will grant attendees 1 credit for Basic Knowledge Topic 3, as well as an hour for Aviation Maintenance Technician logging. The WINGS program remains a useful way to stay sharp and active in the aviation world, especially helpful for those pilots who don’t always have the time or funds to turn some props in their time off. New users can create an account via the FAA Safety site, and register for the upcoming course, and those to come at the link below.
