NAA Will Honor Most Talented And Accomplished In Aeronautics

2024 Fall Awards Will Highlight Stars Of Aeronautics

The National Aeronautic Association (NAA) announced its Fall Awards event will be held on November 6, 2024. The awardees span the entire range of the aerospace industry and represent military aviation, business leaders, general and business aviation, air sports, and humanitarianism.

The annual NAA Fall Awards will be held at the Hilton Washington DC National Mall The Wharf in It features well-known dignitaries in aviation and aerospace as presenters, and is a tribute to their outstanding achievements and the global impact of the awardees.

Here are the Awards and Recipients to be honored:

  • Clarence H. Mackay Trophy, presented by Gen. David W. Allvin, Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force

Recipient:  (tba)

  • Bruce Whitman Trophy

Recipient:  James Schenck

  • Wesley L. McDonald Distinguished Statesman & Stateswoman of Aviation Award

Recipients:  Gregory Feith, Wilson Leach, Robert Stangarone

  • Public Benefit Flying Award

Recipients:    Dennis Phelan, Distinguished Volunteer Pilot

David Brubaker, Distinguished Volunteer

Jim Hesseman, Outstanding Achievement in Public Benefit Flying

Lightspeed Aviation, Champion of Public Benefit Flying

  • Katherine and Marjorie Stinson Trophy

Recipient:  Irene Trowell-Harris

  • AI Frank Ehling Diploma

Recipient:  Arthur “Trip” Barber

                        

 

Amy Spowart, NAA President and CEO stated, “Our 2024 recognition event will celebrate aviation excellence and achievement. These individuals highlight the innovative spirit of aviation, individual courage, and extraordinary selflessness. Their impact leaves a legacy that inspires and shapes the future of flight.”
