Say, Isn't This Where I Left My Boeing?

727 Mysteriously Disappears From Airport

To say the Boeing 727 was unsafe to fly was one thing. To say it couldn't fly - that would have been in error.

The South African Daily News reports the aircraft, licensed to the Angolan airline Airangol, was grounded at Luanda Airport about a year ago, having been banned from overflying the country because of what Angolan Civil Aviation Director Helder Preza called a "series of irregularities."

The plane sat and sat, until Thursday. Witnesses say an unidentified white male boarded the aircraft and... took off - without authorization from air traffic control. There's no indication where the aircraft might of landed, who took it or why.

Wanna lay odds, though, we'll be hearing about it again? Terrorism experts are getting worried about this one...
