Contend Launches Contend Aerial; Drones Meet Branded Content Creation

Company One Of The First To Provide FAA-Certified Drone Cinematography Services For Feature Films, Commercials, Live Events And Brand-Exclusive Content

Contend, a content creation studio that develops and produces premium and original programming, announced the launch of Contend Aerial. The company is one of the first to provide FAA-certified drone services that can capture new cinematic angles and imagery never before possible. Drone cinematography allows seamless production integration and the rapid and cost efficient creation of stand-alone assets altering what's possible in advertising, creative content and still photography.

The company officially launched its new service while speaking at TheGrill on October 6, 2015 in Los Angeles. TheGrill is an annual conference put on by TheWrap and addresses innovation in Hollywood where media, entertainment and technology converge. The Contend team was on hand to provide a demo of Contend Aerial and discuss how aerial is changing the game in production by offering a completely new perspective in video for brands and Hollywood.

"Contend brings together licensed pilots, post-production and distribution in a new way, allowing us to capture unparalleled imagery that only an aerial platform can provide," Steven Amato, CEO and founder, Contend. "Our Contend Aerial offering continues our promise to innovate and disrupt the traditional entertainment, advertising and media industries with the most unique and provocative storytelling methods available."

Contend Aerial offers FAA-certified and award-winning licensed pilots, journalists and producers to create one-of-a-kind, on location productions. The company has already executed drone shoots for a major retail/fashion brand and beverage company to support programming for their original TV service and features. As a full-service content creation studio, Contend also provides post-production optimization and editing for quick to market distribution.
