ELITE To Offer Garmin GNS 430 Enhancement Package This Fall

Partners With Reality-XP For Package Suitable For Home, Basic ATD Users

ELITE told ANN this week the simulator provider intends to release its long-awaited Garmin GNS 430 Enhancement Package (EP) for its ELITE Premium ELITE Core, and ELITE Basic ATD software this fall.

Billed as "the most requested feature for our software for several years" by ELITE, the Garmin 430 upgrade marks a departure from previous practice for the sim maker. "We have placed real Garmin equipment in our high-end trainers for many years but were reluctant to undertake such an expensive and time-consuming project for our home and Basic ATD users," ELITE said. "When we discovered the high quality GPS developed by Reality-XP, a strategic partnership was inevitable. Their attention to detail and accuracy of their work far exceeded our expectations."

By integrating Reality-XP's GNS 430 software into ELITE and providing "hands on" control, the company managed to create an effective GPS training platform in the most cost-effective manner.

The ELITE GNS 430 Control Module is required to use the GPS. The Enhancement Package (EP) will consist of ELITE Version 8.5 software and the GNS 430 Control Module. The Control Module will also be sold as stand-alone equipment for new software purchases. The GNS 430 module can be combined with other AP4000 avionics modules to create a custom avionics suite.

Pricing and availability has not yet been released. ELITE invites anyone interested in the new package to visit their exhibit at EAA Airventure Oshkosh, booths D4020 & D4021 to see the EP in action.
