MidairUSA Maintenance Out Of New York For Florida

Company Move Will Add 450 Jobs In Melbourne, FL

Melbourne International Airport in Florida will soon become the new home to MidairUSA, which is currently based in Rome, NY.

Media sources including Florida Today are reporting that the international aviation company, which provides services ranging from ownership, leasing will move its maintenance operations to Florida's Space Coast. The company has a contract to repair Boeing 747s, and the Melbourne site has the space the company needs to complete the work.

The move will add some 450 jobs to the central Florida east coast. News Channel 13 in central Florida indicates that MidairUSA intends to build a $28 million maintenance facility in Melbourne. The 747s needing repair could arrive as early as February.
