Source: Lt Gen Bruce Wright, USAF (Ret.), commenting on the Air Force Association (AFA) Board of Directors announcement of his appointment as their new president beginning March 1, 2019. Wright will direct the association's professional staff and be responsible for the management and operations of the association, which include professional development events across the country, advocacy initiatives on Capitol Hill, and national and international aerospace education programs. He will also serve as publisher of Air Force Magazine, the official journal of the association. The Air Force Association was established in 1946 and currently has more than 99,000 members around the world.
