EASA Grants STC For MT-Propeller Installation On Aviat A-1 Husky

Approves The Three-Blade MTV-9 For The Aircraft

EASA has granted an STC to MT-Propeller for the installation of its MTV-9 three-blade scimitar composite propeller on Aviat A-1 Husky aircraft.

According to the company, the installation reduces takeoff distance by 10 percent; enhances climb performance by three percent; increases cruise speed by three knots; and has not restrictions on RPM range.

The MT-Propeller natural composite blades have no life limitation, and are repairable in case of damage by foreign objects. The company says they also provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on stainless steel leading edges for best erosion protection of the blades.

MT-Propeller is holder of over 210 STCs worldwide and OEM supplier for more than 90% of the European Aircraft Industry as well as 30% of the US Aircraft Industry. Over 18,000 propeller systems with more than 68,000 blades are in service.
MT-Propeller props have accumulated 130 Million fleet hours since the first unit was shipped 35 years ago.
