NY Air Show Returns To Orange County Airport!

Featuring Cadet Jump Team, Raptor, Osprey, Mustang, Aerobatics

The New York Air Show is returning with a roar to the Orange County Airport (KMGJ) in Montgomery, New York, running on August 23-24, announced by County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus, noting that last year’s show drew more than 26,000 spectators over its two-day run.

Neuhaus said, “The New York Air Show is one of the premier events of the summer here in Orange County, drawing visitors from across the Hudson Valley and beyond. This event not only highlights our strong connection to the military but also showcases our beautiful County as a destination. I encourage everyone to come out and experience this world-class display of aviation excellence.”

This year’s event will feature an exciting lineup that includes:

  • U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team
  • MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor
  • P-51 Mustang from World War II and Korean War
  • U.S. Military Academy West Point Parachute Team, one of the oldest continually operating jump teams in the U.S. military
  • Aerobatics by Mark Meredith, a retired U.S. Navy Captain, flying his meticulously restored 1951 de Havilland DHC-1 Super Chipmunk “Chippy”
  • Air vs Land race between the P-51 Mustang and the CyberBeast “Nighthawk,” a specially modified Tesla Cybertruck

Amanda Dana, Director of Orange County Tourism and Film noted, “It is not only a thrill to welcome the New York Air Show for its 11th year in Orange County, it is an honor to host this showcase of the amazing power and capabilities of the nation’s military aircraft.”

There will be food and drinks available at concession stands. Lawn boxes and preferred seating are available, as well as a catered lunch and an open beverage bar for members of the VIP Flight Line Club.

The show will run from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm both days, and tickets range from $32.25 to $179.00.
