Kitfoxes Plan Meet Parallel Copperstate

Kitfox Special at Thunder Ridge

ANN Reader John McBean let us know that if you have a Kitfox or are interested in learning more about the Kitfox, then don't miss this event. A group of Kitfox enthusiasts in Arizona got together in 2000 and formed the Desert Fox Squadron. It is an informal group that believes flying with a wingman is a lot more fun then flying alone. They also discovered that sometimes when the building of the aircraft becomes stalled, a fellow builder or flyer can come by and get the juices flowing again really easy. (Sometimes all it takes it to get a little air under your butt and you can't wait to get started again.)

The Desert Fox Squadron Fly-in is an annual event held in October at a private airstrip in Arizona approximately 30 nautical miles northwest of Phoenix.

This year the fly-in is scheduled for the same weekend as Copperstate.  The intentions are to fly in on Friday, October 10th, and watch a beautiful Arizona sunset with friends. We'll depart for the Copperstate fly-in at approximately 8:00 am Saturday morning as a gaggle (20+) of Kitfoxes.

An RSVP is requested if you planning on attending. [Thanks for the pictures, John! --ed.]
