Tianjin Airlines Receives TRUEngine Designation For CF34

Engines Powering Carrier's Entire Fleet Of E190 Airplanes

GE has awarded Tianjin Airlines its TRUEngine designation for 107 CF34-10E engines powering its fleet of 50 Embraer 190s. Tianjin is the first airline in Asia to receive the TRUEngine designation for the CF34.

“We are committed to optimizing performance of our engines and maintaining maximum residual value for our assets, and the TRUEngine designation enables us to accomplish both goals at once,” Tianjin Vice President Jianfeng Hu said. “We are very proud to be the first CF34 TRUEngine operator in Asia.”

“Tianjin Airlines is making a strong commitment to OEM quality engine maintenance by seeking the TRUEngine designation,” said Allen Paxson, general manager of the CF34 Engine Program at GE Aviation. “The CF34 TRUEngine program is growing rapidly, and now includes more than 600 engines operated by carriers in the United States, Europe, and now Asia.”
