ETC Wins Thai Pilatus PC-9 Simulator Contract

ETC earned additional bragging rights this week with the announcement that the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) has awarded ETC an extension of the current PC-9 simulator maintenance support contract. This contract will be fulfilled by ETC's International Logistics Support/Contracted Operations and Maintenance Service (ILS/COMS) division. ETC's ILS/COMS has provided onsite engineering and logistic support since 1998 to the complete satisfaction of RTAF. The contract extension reflects the RTAF's trust in ETC to keep these critical trainers fully functional and up to date. As a result of this contract renewal, ETC's responsibilities are being extended through the 2005 calendar year.

ANN Sponsor, ETC, supplied three flight simulators to support PC-9 training aircraft for the Royal Thai Air Force in the mid-1980s. To date, these simulators have trained thousands of pilots. As part of ETC's "turn-key" service capability, ETC has implemented performance upgrades as part of a multi-year plan to maintain these simulators as state-of-the-art technology devices. Further, ETC's service has enabled the RTAF to maintain continued training capability with virtually no lost training time.

ETC has established a long-term relationship with the Armed Forces of Thailand, based on consistently providing quality products and service starting with the central hyperbaric facility at the Royal Thai Navy facility in Bangkok. Building on that relationship, ETC has also supplied a full Aeromedical Training Center including an Ejection Procedures Trainer, GYROLAB GL-1500 Advanced Spatial Disorientation Trainer, a Hypobaric (altitude) chamber, a 6-man hyperbaric (dive) chamber, and a Night Vision Training facility.

William F. Mitchell, ETC's President and CEO, stated "ETC has enjoyed an excellent relationship with the Armed Forces of Thailand for the past 20 years. The renewal of the PC-9 simulator contract is another important step in strengthening this relationship and establishing opportunities for new business. ETC remains committed to providing the very best products and services to support Thailand's aeromedical training and simulation needs"
