Sun n’ FUN Holiday Fly-In Tickets Available

Winter Festival Includes Aerial Demos, STOL Competition, and Car Show

For aircraft enthusiasts dreading the winter slog, Sun n’ FUN has the perfect getaway for a weekend in sunny Lakeland, Florida. Their Holiday Fly-In Drive-In Festival has opened sales for tickets and registrations for campgrounds, parking spots, and VIP admissions. With another open car show sponsored by the local Corvette Club, featuring exotics, classics, and kit cars galore.

The Holiday Festival will have all the hallmarks of a Sun n’ Fun event, with plenty to enjoy for everyone. Operator Flying Adventure will be on hand Friday and Saturday offering flights in their original 1941 U.S. Army Stearman biplane with vintage, period-accurate livery, with options for short pattern flights or longer 20 minute jaunts. Fans of every type of aircraft will have plenty of eye candy, too. The Florida sun is a photographer’s wintertime friend, and dozens of airplanes will be on hand for the show as well. Homebuilts, experimentals, sports, even classics, vintage, and warbirds will be on the line for spotters to see up close.

No Sun n’ Fun event would be complete without the STOL competition, with qualifiers taking place on Friday before the finals on Saturday. Throughout the festival, audiences will be treated to aerial demonstrations and fly-bys, with a special appearance on the 4th by Jerry Kerby’s Paradigm Team. Raffles, prizes, hot-air balloon rides, scale model gingerbread building, and more await for a cozy weekend escape.

Attendees can reserve space for RV, tent, or aircraft camping, but space is limited on a first-come basis. The Festival starts on Friday, December 4, 2021 at ACE’s campus. Prospective sponsors and volunteers can register to exhibit or assist. Early admissions tickets are available for a discounted price.
