NBP Releases 'We Are NextGen' Short Documentary At Phoenix AAAE Show

Footage Reveals Attitudes And Knowledge About Airports, Air Travel And New Technology

A short documentary entitled “We Are NextGen” was released Tuesday by New Bedford Panoramex Corporation (NBP) featuring interviews with stakeholders in multiple locations in North and South America captured over the past month. The piece, viewable on NBP’s website and premiered at the American Association of Airport Executives Conference & Exposition in Phoenix, has already generated buzz within industry circles and is circulating rapidly across numerous aviation oriented websites, blogs and social media platforms. NBP plans to continue to add new voices and new material to the film going forward, as its team members travel the U.S. and the world.

NBP recently announced the global launch of its industry leading integration and monitoring technology currently being used in the busiest airports in the United States. NBP’s suite of “Next Generation” technologies include the latest generation of its Control & Monitoring System which will enable the FAA to seamlessly integrate NextGen modalities, such as the satellite enabled Ground Based Augmentation System (GBAS) which allow airports to process air traffic more efficiently and more safely. The system will also allow for controllers to control and monitor legacy and NextGen systems via one common user interface known as “common glass.”

NBP is also set to go into production of its “Next Gen” Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) navigational system in partnership with the FAA this fall. NBP was the first to design LED Powered PAPI navigational aids and were selected competitively to deploy them to the NAS. The program will save airports and the FAA up to 75% of their energy costs for airfield lighting and will revolutionize energy conservation and cost control for this element of the National Aviation System going forward.
