Classic Aero-TV: 'We're Surviving'-- Kyle Franklin Describes Airshow Life 2013

From 2013 (YouTube Version): Dracula Lives On Through Kyle Franklin... and We're NOT Scared!

ANN CEO and Editor-in-Chief, Jim Campbell speaks with Aerobatic and airshow master, Kyle Franklin, at EAA AirVenture 2013. Kyle puts on a show that is fun to watch, exciting, and most important, it’s entertaining. Every airshow pilot has a carefully crafted flight routine, but Kyle is also known for being a showman.

He works the crowd, will talk to anyone, and plays to the kids. He is also “hep” to modern trends.  His custom built biplane, named Dracula, took Kyle 9 years to build. It’s a one-of-a-kind plane designed to give the thrill of the old barnstorming days yet provide the wild capabilities of a modern acro airplane.

In this video interview, Kyle talks about his acts, Dracula, and the airshow business past, present, and future. It’s getting tougher because economic conditions affect the willingness of a sponsor to produce an airshow. Kyle is the “Real Deal” and you’ll enjoy getting to know him.
