King Airs Standardize CoolView Windows from 2024 Onwards

Lee Aerospace Modification Now Part of Every 260/360 King Air for Improved Passenger Comfort

Beechcraft has reached into the aftermarket scene to include a customer favorite as part of its package of standard equipment, with the inclusion of Lee Aerospace CoolView windows on future King Air 260s and 360s.

The change will "minimize heat transfer into the cabin on the ramp and offer an unprecedented level of passenger comfort and cabin cooling", working well with last December's addition of standard electric air conditioning. That feature allowed cool air circulation during ground and flight operations, making it a winning combination for those opting for a new production King Air in 2024.

The CoolView windows feature a frost pane with an integrated tint, enhancing visibility while reducing glare for everyone aboard. Less ice, less heat, and better views should help to further enhance the cabin experience for customers, even in the hotter, Southern States. For those existing King Air operators, the windows are available as an aftermarket upgrade from Textron Service Centers or directly via its parts website.

“At Textron Aviation, we’re committed to incorporating the latest technology and customer feedback into our aircraft to deliver the best customer experience for owners, pilots and passengers,” said Lannie O’Bannion, senior vice president, Sales & Flight Operations. “The inclusion of CoolView windows in the Beechcraft King Air turboprops is a testament to our commitment to passenger comfort and our responsiveness to their ideas.”
