Aero-News Proudly Introduces Our AirVenture 2006 Staff

Say Hello To Hognose!

With the final days before the official start to EAA AirVenture 2006 counting down all too rapidly... and, not quickly enough... ANN's senior staff is all-too-aware of the Herculean task ahead of us in reporting EVERYTHING that's news at The World's Greatest Aviation Celebration.

Fortunately, this year we'll have some help... and some really GREAT help at that. As we've already told you, Aero-News is bringing its largest staff EVER to AirVenture this year... and over the next several days, we thought we'd take the time to introduce you to the staff members -- both full-time, as well as our "stringers" -- who will be bringing our readers and listeners all the news that's fit to pixilate from Oshkosh this year.

And now, without further adieu...

Kevin R.C. "Hognose" O'Brien

Kevin O'Brien -- Hognose to his friends, enemies, and readers -- is a 26- year Army veteran who grew up in a flying family. He thought everybody's Mom flew 100 miles every Friday to pick up Dad from work and bring him to the summer house, and Dad flew the leg back... right?

He's a graduate of several fine institutions, including the Cambridge Jail, the University of the State of New York, the Fort Benning School For Boys, the Madr Valley of Afghanistan, and the Special Forces Operations and Intelligence Course. When he isn't flying, or reading about flying, or writing about flying for Aero-News or the Sport Pilot Resource Guide, he's probably reading about something else, or writing something else, like his too-seldom-updated blog, or music.

Hognose is between wives, and lives in the city that built the first jet engine in the USA, in a four-bedroom townhouse packed with "stuff."

Stay tuned as we introduce more of our stringers and staffers in days to come!
