Heli-One Completes Two H225 Inspections For South Korean Rescue Agency

Aircraft Fly Firefighting And Rescue Missions

Heli-One, a leading global provider of helicopter maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, has completed inspections for two Airbus H225 aircraft (1-year and 8-year inspections) for South Korea’s National 119. The inspections were completed simultaneously (ten days for 1-year and 7 weeks for 8-year inspection) at two Korean bases in Seoul and Busan, allowing the aircraft to return to service on time and within budget.

National 119 is the primary provider of firefighting and rescue services in South Korea and has a fleet of Airbus aircraft. Heli-One has provided inspection services for National 119 in the past, and has extensive expertise carrying out inspection and Mobile Repair Team (MRT) services for the H225. Heli-One’s familiarity with National 119’s base and crew, in addition to its extensive background working on H225 aircraft, resulted in a quick turnaround time for the customer.

"We continue to be impressed by the level of work and professionalism demonstrated by Heli-One's team,” said a spokesperson for National 119. “Our team enjoys working with Heli-One's technicians and sharing knowledge of the H225 aircraft. Their thorough and quick work allowed our aircraft to return to supporting critical services."

“We are proud to continue to service National 119’s H225s and help this agency continue to provide essential services in South Korea,” said Eddie Lane, Interim President, Heli-One. “Our Mobile Repair Team was able to work quickly and efficiently to have these helicopters back in service, ensuring that the highest levels of safety and quality were met.” Our excellent working relationship with National 119 helps us streamline operations, allowing us to minimize downtime for their aircraft.”

Heli-One holds an Approved Maintenance Organisation certificate with the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) and has also provided services for other Korean public agencies.
