Planning Two Events to Highlight 2021 Season
The Oregon International Air Show has confirmed that the 2020 Air Show scheduled for Sept. 25 - 27 at McMinnville Airport has been cancelled due to ongoing COVID-19 safety concerns and restrictions.

Safety considerations and government restrictions related to COVID-19 have caused the cancellation of many air shows across North America in 2020. The U.S. military continues to have restrictions on non-essential travel and state restrictions on large group gatherings have forced all air shows scheduled prior to June 30 to postpone or cancel. Many shows later in the year have also cancelled or postponed their events until next year.
"We did all we could to try to hold the air show this year, but we will always make safety of our guests our number one priority. In the end, that concern overrode all other considerations," said Bill Braack, president of the Oregon International Air Show. "While we are disappointed to not host an event this year, we are quickly pivoting to what will be a big year for our organization in 2021. We are thrilled that 2021 will be the first time our organization hosts two different events of which we will be making some exciting announcements in the next several weeks. It’s going to be a very busy year for us."
The Oregon International Air Show will produce a show in McMinnville July 30 – Aug. 1, 2021 and will also hold an air show May 21 – 23, 2021 at Hillsboro Airport. Tickets for the 2021 shows are expected to be available this summer.
Net proceeds from Oregon International Air Show events will add to the over $3.3M already donated to more than 500 charities. The Oregon International Air Show will continue to advance its charitable mission to support charities, youth programs, Veterans and individuals with special needs.
