Reno Air Race Rookies Snag Big Sponsor

Air Dominance Racing Partners With Bremont Watch Company

A team that plans to compete in the Reno Air Races for the first time this year has snagged a marquis sponsor for the event.

The team is Air Dominance Racing, which will compete in the Bronze class flying a modified T-6. The sponsor is the luxury aviation-themed watch company Bremont.

The Reno Journal Gazette reports that the team will make its debut at the annual air races, being held this year September 10-14. Kevin Sutterfield is the team's leader and race pilot. "Air Dominance Racing is passionate about historic aviation," Sutterfield said. "This is embodied by both the North American AT-6 Texan we fly and through the enduring legacy of the Reno Air Races where we showcase it. In an environment where compromise is unacceptable and endurance is essential, Bremont is the perfect choice."

Sutterfield has more than 3,000 hours in his logbook, and is qualified in more than 30 aircraft types including the F-15 Eagle and F-22 Raptor.
