AURA AERO’s INTEGRAL R Earns EASA Certification

Deliveries Of Two-Seat Trainer To Begin In 2025

AURA AERO announced that its INTEGRAL R, a two-seat trainer aircraft with aerobatic capabilities, has been certified by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The certification comes just six years after its design and four and a half years after its first flight in June 2020.

The INTEGRAL R is the first aircraft in the INTEGRAL family designed and built by AURA AERO, and the certification is the culmination of a ground and flight test campaign. Testing for the certification was completed in November 2024 after 250 hours of test flight and generating over 12,000 pages of documentation and 100 technical files.

Jérémy Caussade, Co-founder and President of the company emphasized, “We are very proud to have obtained the CS-23 type certification for INTEGRAL R. This is the materialization of 5 years of relentless work and most of all, the recognition of our credibility as a full aircraft manufacturer with DOA/POA approvals and certification.”

With certification, production of the INTEGRAL R will ramp up to deliver to its first customers in January 2025. The aircraft is a wood-carbon structure that is equipped with unprecedented on-board technology that allows the user to access flight data and analyze their flights.

Fabien Raison, Co-founder and Chief Operations Officer said, “Our customers will be able to access all the data to analyze their flights and will benefit from predictive maintenance to anticipate breakdowns. It is also the first aircraft to be certified in its category, in aerobatics conditions, with a whole aircraft rescue parachute. During all of the design phase, we had just one ambition: to make INTEGRAL R the most reliable, high-performing and safe training aircraft with aerobatic capability in its category!”
