FlightSafety International Promotes Willy Vargas

Named Director, Sales For Latin America And The Caribbean

FlightSafety International is pleased to announce that Willy Vargas has been promoted to Director, Sales for Latin America and the Caribbean. He is responsible for FlightSafety’s training sales and business development activities in the region.

“We congratulate Willy (pictured) on his well-deserved promotion,” said Steve Gross, Senior Vice President, Commercial. “Willy is a highly effective and well-respected member of our sales team. His in-depth understanding of Customer requirements and ability to tailor solutions to their exact needs are most appreciated and valued.”

Willy joined FlightSafety in 2004 and has held a number of positions with increasing responsibility since then.  He served as Product Marketing Representative for FlightSafety’s Bell Helicopter training programs, and Regional Marketing Manager for South America. Willy was most recently Managing Director, Sales for Mexico, Central America, Venezuela, Colombia, and Peru.

He worked in business development and sales with VP Solutions, LLC and Safety Now Inc., prior to joining FlightSafety.

Willy graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business/Spanish, and holds a Master of Science in Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He also earned a Doctoral degree in Business Administration with a primary focus in Organization Leadership, and a secondary focus in Management of Aviation Enterprises in the Global Environment from North Central University. Willy holds an FAA private pilot license.
