Another Lawsuit Stems From Incident At Austin FBI Building

A Man Who Was Burned In The Fire Is Suing Joe Stack's Estate

A person who suffered 2nd degree burns over about 25 percent of his body when Joe Stack allegedly intentionally crashed his plane into a building in Austin, TX is suing the pilot's estate.

Stack allegedly flew his PA-28 into the side of an office building which housed IRS offices. He left a lengthy manifesto online about his troubles with the tax agency.

The Austin American-Statesman reports that Shane Hill has filed a lawsuit seeking unspecified damages against Stack's estate for physical pain, mental anguish, and physical impairment. Hill's attorney Jeff Boyd said in a statement "We believe that Mr. Stack had an insurance policy to cover his plane and his actions and a pilot."

The FBI is the lead agency in the investigation of the crash.
