International Women’s Air & Space Museum Hosting “Corks on the Concourse”

Annual Fundraising Event Kicks Off Cleveland National Air Show Weekend

The International Women’s Air & Space Museum (IWASM) collects, preserves, and showcases the accomplishments, culture, and history of women in all areas of aerospace and aviation. They serve to educate the public about the contributions of women and, by bringing the history to life, inspire young women to pursue careers in aerospace and aviation.

The museum’s annual fundraiser, “Corks on the Concourse” will be held Friday, August 30, 2024, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The event marks the beginning of the Cleveland National Air Show weekend at the airport, and will provide crucial support for IWASM’s objectives and goals. It also represents an opportunity for IWASM to continue its support of cultural heritage tourism in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio.

There will be an exclusive wine-tasting experience featuring Ohio wineries, trivia games, and the presentation of its 3rd Annual Lifetime Achievement Award. Two women-owned businesses will provide entertainment and food, The Energy Producer with Jaime Kravits and Karen King Catering. Capping off the evening will be a silent auction offering one-of-a-kind experiences.

The museum is located in the terminal of Burke Lakefront Airport (KBKL) in Cleveland, Ohio, in close proximity to several other cultural heritage sites such as the Great Lakes Science Center, the USS Cod Submarine Memorial, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Tickets can be purchased at the IWASM link below.
