Avidyne And Key Cirrus Dealers Launch The 'G3-R9'

Companies Say They Will Deliver High Value In Pre-Owned Cirrus SR22

A previously-owned airplane is the only way to get into flying for many potential owners, but those same new owners may want the latest glass panel avionics as well. Avidyne Corporation says they are now partnering with Leading Edge Aviation Services of Tampa, Eagle Creek Aviation Services, Inc. of Indianapolis, and Lone Mountain Aviation of North Las Vegas, to deliver late-model Cirrus SR22 aircraft retrofitted with Avidyne's new Entegra Release 9 Integrated Flight Deck (IFD) system.  The four-way GA partnership has collectively dubbed this new aircraft the 'G3-R9'.

"The G3-R9 concept is simply a formalization of actual customer purchasing behavior for those seeking the best airframe, best engine and best avionics available today, all for the best value," said Rob Higby, Avidyne's Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service.  "Eagle Creek, Leading Edge, and Lone Mountain are the initial participants for this program because they are key Cirrus aircraft sales and maintenance centers, they are strategically located geographically in the Central, Eastern and Western US, and they each have demonstrated expertise with the Entegra Release 9 retrofit program."

"Release 9 is an incredibly capable new flight deck system and our customers have been delighted with its ease of use and overall capability," said Matt Hagans, Eagle Creek's CEO. "With Release 9, we are delivering 'like new' Cirrus aircraft. It's a simply great combination."

"At Leading Edge, we buy, sell, and maintain more Cirrus aircraft than probably any other shop in the country, and we believe the addition of Release 9 adds significant value and provides our customers with a more capable four-place piston aircraft than they can get anywhere else, new or used," said Dave Moberg, President of Aircraft Sales at Leading Edge.

"As the top Cirrus maintenance facility west of the Rockies, we see this program as a way to give our customers a 'best-in-class' aircraft in terms of airframe, engine, and state-of-the-art avionics," said Ken Scherado, President of Lone Mountain Aviation.

Entegra Release 9 is currently certified as a retrofit upgrade for existing Entegra-equipped Cirrus SR20 and SR22 aircraft. Avidyne has developed a full schedule of "Entegra Release 9 Across America" Fly-Ins and Demonstration Seminars that are currently underway so that interested parties can experience the system in a city near them. As part of this schedule, Avidyne will be exhibiting and hosting Entegra Release 9 flight demos at the upcoming EAA AirVenture at Oshkosh.
