Jimmy Franklin Will Mass Produce His Famous Jet Waco

You've seen Jimmy Franklin fly it around the country and doing things never thought possible with a normal Waco biplane. Now, you can have your very own jet-powered Waco! Jimmy Franklin, the renowned airshow performer, has decided to mass produced a line of aircraft based on his highly modified airplane.

So, what's stopping you from buying one?

Franklin admits flying one of these aircraft take a little getting used to. "This thing has got some kick... but the short-field performance is unqualed by anything short of the Space Shuttle," he told ANN.

Aside from the $1 million price-tag, prospective owners should beware of some major fuel bills. Because the aircraft sports two engines -- a radial and turbojet -- operators will need to buy Avgas and Jet-A to keep the aircraft flying. Of course, the benefit is that you'll be able to log multi and turbine time in this rather unique aircraft.
