Long-Haul Fleet Replacement Deal Announced At Dubai Airshow
Air Europa, Spain’s third-largest airline based in Mallorca, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Airbus for up to 40 A350-900 aircraft. The deal was announced at the Dubai Airshow 2025 and the aircraft will form the foundation for Air Europa’s long-haul fleet replacement.
The A350 coming into Air Europa’s fleet will accelerate the renewal of its existing long-haul fleet and boost profit growth in several markets because of the aircraft’s performance and operational economics. In addition, passengers will experience an improvement in comfort.

The A350-900 is a game-changer for key destinations in Latin America. The A350-900 is Airbus’ newest widebody and is designed to fly up to 9,700 nm / 18,000 km nonstop. It includes state-of-the-art technologies and aerodynamics that deliver improved efficiency and comfort. Its Rolls-Royce engines provide a 25% advantage in fuel burn, operating costs, and emissions compared to previous generation aircraft.
Like all other Airbus aircraft, the A350 can run on up to 50% SAF and the company is targeting 2030 for its aircraft to run on 100% SAF.
