Able Flight Pilots to Receive Wings at EAA AirVenture

Nine New Pilots Earned Private Pilot Certificates

Able Flight has announced its Class of 2024 will receive their wings in a ceremony at the upcoming EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.

This will be Able Flight’s first year partnering with Southern Illinois University at Carbondale for flight training of its scholarship recipients.

The pilots receiving their wings pins will be: Andrew Daigneau, Jake Simmons, Natallia Mirashnichenka, Ian Azeredo, Tyler Pugeda, Omar Duran, Jake Robinson, Jordan Sprague and Tim Riney, Jr. Each pilot will be honored individually for scholarships they received from ForeFlight, Muncie Aviation, and Tempest Aero Group. Scholarships honoring Zack Reising (Blue 7 Scholarship), volunteer charity pilot Mark Hogan, and Adam Kisielewski (U.S. Marine Corps-retired) will also be awarded.

All of the pilots studied and trained at Purdue and Southern Illinois during May and July this year to earn their certifcates. Sporty’s Pilot Shop donated the online ground school courses for all pilots.

Four of the pilots in the class are U.S. military veterans and two are women. Able Flight has partnered with Purdue University since 2010 to provide flight training for people with physical disabilities. Able Flight has provided full flight training and aviation career scholarships for 18 years and has funded 98 licensed pilots, some with multiple certificates.
