True Blue Reveals 6,500-Watt DC-DC Converter

Intended For Business, Commercial, Defense, AAM Markets

True Blue Power introduced its new high-voltage TC6500 DC-to-DC converter. The TC6500 converts 270 VDC to 28 VDC to power avionics and other systems onboard commercial, business, defense, and advanced air mobility aircraft.

The TC6500 is lightweight at 10.4 pounds, compact, and easy to install anywhere inside the aircraft whether inside or outside the pressure vessel. Units can be installed in parallel for increased power output and redundancy without any additional wiring needed.

The unit can be powered on or off remotely and has military-grade connectors, and a rugged aluminum case and chassis to ensure the delivery of reliable power in demanding 270-volt applications.

The TC6500 has 96% peak efficiency with an overload capacity of 110% of rated power without damage. It comes with three brushless, temperature- and  speed-controlled fans, and a thermostatic on/off control. Its intelligent design cools the unit effectively while delivering max power output and extending useful life.

The converter is engineered with advanced protection features such as input transient protection, low-voltage shutdown, short circuit, and over current protection. It also has a self-resetting over-temperature feature for even better reliability.

True Blue Power specializes in the design and manufacturing of electrical power solutions for the global aerospace industry. Its product line includes USB and wireless chargers, power conversion products, emergency battery power supplies, and advanced lithium-ion batteries.
