Redbird Flight Simulations Expands Product Line To King Air, Meridian

New Products Bring Affordable Aircraft-Specific Devices To Operators, Trainin Organizations

Beech King Air C90GTx and Piper Meridian pilots can now take advantage of Redbird training devices. The company announced Wednesday that is has delivered aircraft-specific Advanced Aviation Training Devices for those two airplanes. “These devices represent a valuable addition to our product line” said Todd Willinger, Redbird Flight Simulations CEO, “the low acquisition cost makes these simulators an attractive investment for flight training providers that utilize more complicated aircraft.” In keeping with Redbird’s mission to make flight training more affordable, these simulators are priced well below other devices of their kind.  In addition, Redbird is actively working on expanding its aircraft specific product line to include the King Air 350, Caravan and Matrix/Mirage.

The devices were built to represent the actual aircraft in function, pilot interface and flying characteristics. Both feature Redbird’s signature electric motion platform and dual pilot controls equipped with an innovative and robust control loading system. They are equipped with a full complement of functional switches, knobs, buttons and circuit breakers. “These products were designed to provide the customer with a fully functional training platform to teach all aspects of operating the systems, avionics and flight profiles of the model aircraft” said Todd Willinger.

The Redbird K9X, representing a Beechcraft King Air C90GTx was delivered to the FAA Flight Program located at Fort Worth Alliance Airport in Fort Worth, TX.  The K9X is used to provide cost effective training for new and current aviation safety inspectors and to assist the Flight Program in keeping the more than 1,200 safety inspectors proficient, competent and current.  The Redbird K9X provides an accurate representation of the Proline 21 avionics package and gives program inspectors many failure and systems training options to test students. The Flight Program also utilizes a Redbird FMX for single and twin engine piston training and Redbird is currently readying 3 more K9X’s for delivery.

The Redbird MDN, representing a Piper Meridian was delivered to Legacy Flight Training in Vero Beach, FL. The MDN was designed with an interchangeable cockpit configuration, giving it the ability to represent G1000, Avidyne and Meggitt instrument panels.  “The MDN is a fantastic addition to our training curriculum and it’s a great tool” said Bill Inglis, Founder of Legacy Flight Training “the simulator allows customers to increase and maintain their proficiency in the airplane and gives them a chance to practice emergency procedures in a safe environment”. Legacy Flight Training specializes in recurrent training for owners and operators of Piper Malibu aircraft.  They will be taking delivery of a Redbird Mirage/Matrix later this.
