Oklahoma Man's Threat Lands Him In Jail

He Said He'd Fly His Plane Into The Jail, Turns Out It Was Not Necessary To Land Him There

A man in Stillwater, Oklahoma probably didn't expect to literally land in jail when he threatened to fly an airplane into the Payne County jail over the weekend ... but that's where he wound up ... wearing an orange jumpsuit.

52-year-old Layne Kent allegedly called the Payne County sheriff's office early on Saturday and made the threat, according to television station KOTV. The sheriff traced the call to his apartment in Stillwater, where they went and arrested him.

Kent allegedly was intoxicated when he was arrested. He has been charged with making a terrorism hoax, which is a felony. If found guilty, he could face life in prison.
