AeroBrigham Expands LUD Operation

New Hangar and Paint Facilities Boosts Reputable MRO’s Capabilities

Responding to a marked increase in demand for its services, North Texas-based fixed and rotary-wing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) provider AeroBrigham announced on 13 February 2023 that it will expand its Lone Star State presence by adding new hangar facilities at the Decatur Municipal Airport (LUD).

The new facility will support helicopters exclusively, while the company’s extant facility will be dedicated to fixed wing MRO, support, and completions.

In addition to 45,000-square-feet of additional floor space, AeroBrigham LUD will offer a sophisticated down draft type aircraft paint facility capable of accommodating transport category helicopters. The paint facility will be staffed by specialized aircraft painting technicians whose work will complement the overall efficiency of AeroBrigham’s aircraft refurbishment, reconfiguration, and completions operation. The new floorspace will also ensure both the continuing evolution of AeroBrigham’s operational model and the optimization of the company’s support of both fixed and rotary wing aircraft and the customers by which subject machines are owned and operated.

The upcoming Helicopter Association International (HAI) Heli-Expo at Atlanta, Georgia’s Georgia World Congress Center will again see AeroBrigham share its expertise, experience, and wares with the wider rotary-wing community. The company exhibit #C4224 will feature a newly completed Bell 407 delivered to Florida’s Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Operating out of a 15,000-square-foot hangar at Texas' Decatur Municipal Airport, AeroBrigham has won accolades for the uniqueness and quality of its custom helicopter and medium fixed-wing projects, as well as the alacrity with which the company’s work earns regulatory approval from the North Texas Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Flight Standards District Office (FSDO).

AeroBrigham president Dave Brigham stated: "We have an amazing relationship with our FSDO and a history with them of getting field approvals for things that our competition is either afraid to try or unable to get.” Mr. Brigham, who co-owns AeroBrigham with his brother, Danny, added: "Another thing that truly sets us apart is we're not afraid to take on any job, no matter how small or large, and that we also have a reputation of delivering on shorter schedules than most of our competitors."
