Aero-News Quote of the Day

"The Department of Homeland Security was created to track down terrorists, not law-abiding citizens."

Source: Congressman Jim Turner (D-TX), on the use of Homeland Security Department assets by the Texas House Speaker - a Republican - to track down Texas Democrats. The Democrats were hiding out in Oklahoma and New Mexico, preventing a quorum in Austin and thereby defeating Republican plans for congressional redistricting. A Texas state trooper called the HSD's Marine and Air Interdiction Center in California, reporting one state lawmaker's aiplane, a Piper Cheyenne, as missing and possibly down.
