Carlsbad Jet Center Opens New Facility

Includes FBO Operations, Conference Rooms And Pilot Lounge

Carlsbad Jet Center has opened its new executive terminal at McClellan - Palomar Airport (KCRQ) in Carlsbad, CA. The long-awaited executive terminal is located in a prime location right off the taxiway and is beautifully outfitted to welcome guests to the charm of Southern California.

The two-story terminal offers more than 10,000 square feet of space with 4,000 square feet dedicated to FBO operations, including well-appointed workspaces and waiting areas, a conference room, refreshment center and pilot lounge. Designed to evoke the spirit of SoCal, the FBO interior features surfboards and art from local artists. The remaining office space is available for lease.

The addition of the new terminal brings Carlsbad Jet Center’s office and hangar space to a total of more than 190,000 square feet. The team is planning an official grand opening celebration event on April 30, with more details to follow.
Carlsbad Jet Center replaced the Magellan Aviation operation in January 2019 with new ownership and management. Josh and Julia Hochberg, also owners of Sonoma Jet Center (KSTS), are managing the operation with their continued dedication to safety, customers and community.

“It’s been a fantastic year of growth in Carlsbad,” said Josh Hochberg. “Everyone has welcomed us with open arms and we are enjoying working with our customers to elevate their experience at the airport.”

Carlsbad Jet Center offers operators convenient access to Southern California attractions—including beautiful beaches, surfing, resorts and golf courses—and bustling business within 15 minutes of its operation. The FBO boasts the most private location on the airport field with quick access off the runway and such offerings as hangar space, full fuel services and ground handling.

As an Avfuel-branded FBO, Carlsbad Jet Center provides customers with lucrative rewards with AVTRIP and competitive prices with Avfuel Contract Fuel. In addition to contract fuel, customers will benefit from transaction ease when using the Avfuel Pro Card at Carlsbad Jet Center with the ability to put everything—fuel and non-fuel items with or without a fuel purchase—on one transaction, avoiding processing fees.
