Eight Week Course For New Pilots, Or As A Refresher
Students just getting started in flight training and pilots who
are looking for a refresher course in the ground school basics can
take advantage of a series of webinars being offered by Bob Miller
Flight Training. The course, delivered by Bob Miller, CFII, ATP,
provides both student and experienced pilots with a solid overview
of the basic elements of flight and aeronautical decision-making
skills to keep them safe aloft.

This program will be conducted both
"live" at the Bob Miller Flight Training, Inc. classroom at the
Buffalo-Lancaster Airport and broadcast over the Internet via
webinar. Each session will also be recorded for later downloading
and subsequent review by participants. The live webinars will be
offered on Thursday evenings form 1900-2100 beginning October
21st.
Subjects to be taught include:
- October 21 Basic Aerodynamics
- October 28 Airplane Systems and Airworthiness
- November 4 Flight Instruments and Aircraft
Performance
- November 11 Meteorology and Weather Service Products
- November 18 Airport Operations and National Airspace
System
- December 2 Radio Communications and Navigation
- December 9 Aeromedical Factors
- December 16 Federal Aviation Regulations
Cost: $99.00 for either the live or webinar program. The school has
a 30 person capacity at its Buffalo location.
Miller says the course is ideally suited for both new and active
pilots wishing to develop and keep their basic aviation knowledge
and aeronautical decision-making skills strong. By adding the
webinar component to this program, participants can chose either to
attend the "live" classroom session or participate from their home
computer. Students who miss one or more "live" or online
webinar sessions, can download the missed session(s) and view them
at a later date.
