Marta Bohn-Meyer Memorial Fund Established

Will Fund Science Scholarships For Young Women

The Experimental Aircraft Association announced a memorial fund has been established in the memory of Marta Bohn-Meyer, former Chief Engineer for NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center and US Unlimited Aerobatic Team manager. The memorial fund will provide scholarships and educational programs for young women interested in science.

"One of Marta's passions in life was getting young women involved in the sciences," said an EAA release. "She gave many talks to many young women over the years, passing along her interest, knowledge, and the importance of women in the sciences."

As was reported in Aero-News, Bohn-Meyer died September 18 when the Giles G-300 she was flying went down at the start of a practice aerobatic routine near Yukon, OK.

The fund was established by Marta's husband, Bob Meyer, and their family.
