The Spanish Guild Of Commercial Pilots Kick Off A Job Portal

Website Dedicated For Airlines´ Recruitment Will Facilitate The Employment Of Spanish Pilots By Expanding Airlines

The Spanish Guild of Commercial Pilots (COPAC) has set up a website it says will be a global job portal dedicated to pilot recruitment, with the aim to facilitate the employment of Spanish pilots by overseas airlines on growth through an innovative search tool.

COPACjobs enables Spanish pilots, of which there are more than 6,000, to upload their updated professional profiles and supported documentation, bringing remote monitoring and screening capability to Global airlines' recruiters. Secure portal access will be granted to recruiters. After the successful accomplishment of portal phase 1, focused on pilot registration, roughly 500 have already registered. The registration process include to fill up their professional data, licenses, including type ratings, medical certificates, language proficiency level, logbook and other technical information of the recruiters´ interest.

Pilots can update their data at any time in order to add value to their professional profile.

Now, COPAC is launching portal phase 2, which enables airlines´ recruiters to register and get access to pilots’ profiles and selecting those that most meet their professional requirements, and then invite them on their selection processes for particular job offers. Registration on COPACjobs is free of charge, and the access to the professional pilots’ profiles is granted under specific terms and conditions.

COPAC hopes that this new specialist portal facilitates the employment of Spanish pilots by companies in expansion, a lot of which have already shown interest in them owing to their experience and training. COPACjobs.com is just one of set of the tools that the Pilots’ Association is implementing within the framework of the development and support members program, for facilitating the transfer of experienced pilots, to the global market. Over the last years many Spanish pilots have successfully joined foreign airlines, mainly located in Asia and Middle East.
