Daher Sets Up Brazilian HQ In São Paulo

Permanent Presence Bolsters Latin American Customer, Fleet Support

Daher Aircraft announced the establishment of a permanent presence in São Paulo, Brazil to support its TBM and Kodiak turboprop aircraft lines in the country. The office will serve as the headquarters for Daher Aircraft and its team will manage customer service and outreach, fleet support, and expansion initiatives for both aircraft.

Daher sees this as a strategic move to reinforce its long-term commitment to the expanding market in Brazil, and will also provide local business development and operational support for owners and future owners of TBM and Kodiak models in the country.

Nicolas Chabbert, CEO of Daher’s Aircraft division said, “With a thriving general aviation community and an increasing demand for both high-performance and utility aircraft, our TBM and Kodiak are perfectly aligned with the operational needs across Brazil. Establishing a local presence will enable us to support our customers more directly, and it signals our intent to grow with Brazil’s aviation future.”

The TBM 960 is a six-seat pressurized turboprop aircraft for both business and personal travel. It has a max cruise speed of 330 kts / 610 km/hr and a max range of 1,730 nm / 3,204 km, suitable for travel throughout Latin America. It is powered by the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6E-66XT engine with a Hartzell 5-blade Raptor composite prop.

The unpressurized 10-seat Kodiak 100 and its faster sibling the Kodiak 900 are tailored for the multi-role airlift capability required across Brazil. It features rugged construction and has an extended range and backcountry STOL capability for accessing remote areas and unimproved airfields for agricultural, public safety, and passenger/VIP transportation.

Powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada 750-shp PT6A-34 (Kodiak 100) or the 900-shp PT6A-140A (Kodiak 900) engine, both aircraft are extremely capable transport aircraft for passengers and/or cargo.

Daher Aircraft is attending the Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition, or LABACE, running from August 5-7 at Aeroporto Campo de Marte, where it is exhibiting the TBM 960 and Kodiak 100 aircraft at Exhibit #SD22 in the static display area.
