BRS Founder Boris Popov Wins Prestigious Sperry Award

Award Recognizes Significant Engineering Contributions

BRS Aerospace ... a manufacturer of aircraft emergency and military parachute systems ... announced Saturday that Boris Popov, its founder and Board Director, has been awarded the prestigious Sperry Award for 2009.

The Sperry Award, instituted in 1955, is given in recognition of a distinguished engineering contribution which has advanced the art of transportation, whether by land, sea, or space. Previous award winners include: Donald Douglas for the development of the DC-3 Aircraft, Ferdinand Porsche for the Volkswagen automobile, the Boeing Company for the 707 passenger jet, and the Bosch Company for the development of anti-lock brakes.

"All of us who are associated with the creation, development, and ongoing efforts at BRS are certainly deeply honored to be the recipient of such a highly esteemed and historic award. To be included amongst luminaries of such exceptional engineering success is indeed humbling," stated Mr. Popov.

Mr. Popov will formally accept the 2009 Sperry Award at a gala to be held in early 2010 at a location and date to be announced at a later time.
