Study ID's Key Players In The Global Commercial Aircraft NextGen Market

Identifies Vendors Who Will Have A Major Role In Meeting Equipage Deadline

A new report identifies the companies expected to be the key players in the Global Commercial Aircraft NextGen Avionics Market through 2019.

Those companies have been identified as BAE Systems, Cobham, General Electric, Honeywell International and Rockwell Collins.

The report from ASDReports says that other prominent vendors in the market will be Esterline Technologies, Global AirWorks, Navtech, Sagem and Zodiac Aerospace.

According to the company, next-gen ERAM was developed with an investment of $2.48 billion in 2015, which replaced the en route host system and back-up system. ERAM processes the radar data and generates it to the ATC. Earlier, ERAM was only able to process data from 24 radars, but the next-gen ERAM will be able to process data from 64 radars.

According to the report, the growing global air traffic has raised concerns for aircraft manufacturers to provide safety and comfort to its customers, which has resulted in a rise in demand for avionics systems. These systems offer advanced computing, which helps in efficient flight management.

Further, the report states that new-generation aircraft are equipped with latest systems such as in-flight entertainment systems and other avionics systems. These systems are prone to hacking, which acts as a challenge to the market.

The study was conducted using an objective combination of primary and secondary information including inputs from key participants in the industry. The report contains a comprehensive market and vendor landscape in addition to a SWOT analysis of the key vendors.
