Hawker Beechcraft Opens New Service Center In Monterrey, Mexico

Company-Owned Site Includes State-Of-The-Art Paint Facility

Hawker Beechcraft Global Customer Support (GCS) recently celebrated the grand opening of its newest company-owned factory service center at the Aeropuerto Internacional del Norte (MMAN) in Monterrey, Mexico. Company and local leaders participated in a ceremony at the Hawker Beechcraft Services (HBS) facility Thursday to commemorate the opening.

"Expanded capabilities and additional service locations are essential to supporting the current Hawker and Beechcraft fleet, as well as the delivery trends we are forecasting in Mexico and Central America," said Christi Tannahill, Hawker Beechcraft senior vice president, Global Customer Support. "Our Monterrey facility offers the first dedicated paint facility in Mexico for general aviation and is a great option for owners looking to update and refurbish their aircraft. With this newest location, HBS hangar space now surpasses 600,000 square feet worldwide."

In addition to offering maintenance, repair and modification of airframes, powerplants and avionics systems, the new HBS facility, which is certified by the DGAC (Direccion General de Aeronautica Civil), also provides interior modification services and exterior paint capabilities. The state-of-the-art and environmentally friendly paint shop provides services ranging from minor paint repair to complete re-paint options. Customers have the ability to choose from custom designs or the latest factory paint designs.

Interior services allow customers to completely upgrade the interior to factory-new designs or any interior of their choosing, while also incorporating passenger comfort and cabin entertainment options. The in-house factory design studio allows customers to see and touch the wide selection of leathers, carpets, fabrics and finishes. Customers can also view their new designs electronically, providing visual validation of their personal selections.

This is the second HBS facility in Mexico. The MMAN location is 120 miles from the U.S. border and is convenient for a significant base of customers in northern Mexico. The other location is just outside Mexico City in Toluca at Licenciado Adolfo Lopez Mateos International Airport (MMTO).

The 48,000-square-foot facility includes a 13,400-square-foot paint hangar, a 24,000-square-foot maintenance hangar and 10,700 square feet of office and customer hospitality space. Customers have access to fully equipped guest offices with Wi-Fi Internet, a comfortable lounge, an extensive on-site parts inventory and a design center for reviewing and selecting interior fabrics and amenities and exterior paint schemes and color options.
