Signature Reopens BED Massachusetts FBO

L.G. Hanscom Sees Renovated, Fancier Facility

Signature Aviation has reopened its newly renovated private aviation facility at L.G. Hanscom Field (BED) in Massachusetts.

The new furnishings and amenities will help to improve the vibrancy of the New England GA network, while "solidifying Signature's long-term partnership with the region’s largest general aviation airport." The new additions feature an "array of customer-centric designs and amenities focused on space, speed, and sustainability," biggest of all a new 6,500-square-foot passenger terminal. While much of its new space is dedicated towards backend services and infrastructure, it adds 2,500 square feet of space to serve customers, giving travelers modern, high-end amenities prior to departure.

The changes were deemed essential to help reinforce BED as the go-to airfield for private aviation in the area, with considerable attention paid to "landside to airside access." The new design sports an optimized driving loop to allow quick and easy drop-offs for passengers, as well as a simple, streamlined pathway to make boarding easy. For arrivals, passengers will see "safer, more intuitive, and simplified" experiences with additional signage and faster access gateways.

“Hanscom Field is a familiar name for any aircraft operator that frequents Boston or broader New England which makes it an indispensable part of Signature’s Northeast presence,” shared Tony Lefebvre, Chief Executive Officer for Signature Aviation. “Our reimagining of Signature Bedford has really been about delivering the best experience to our customers, down to the smallest details. What we’ve built takes some of our most innovative ideas to elevate the FBO experience and scale to the rest of our network.”
