AeroMech Issues Starlink STC Kits For Citation Sovereign, Sovereign+

PMA Kits Also Available For Installation By Starlink Authorized Dealers

AeroMech Inc., an Everett, Washington-based provider of inflight connectivity, avionics, and other aircraft systems, announced it has received an FAA Supplemental Type Certificate, or STC, for the installation of Starlink internet connectivity for Cessna Citation Sovereign and Sovereign+ aircraft.

AeroMech is making the STC and PMA installation kits available to Starlink Authorized Dealers, and AMI Aviation Services, its wholly owned subsidiary, will also perform Starlink installations at its facilities in Smyrna Airport(KMQY), Tennessee, and Orlando Sanford International Airport (KSFB).

The STC utilizes the Starlink Aviation installation kit consisting of an aero terminal or antenna, power supply unit, two wireless access points, harnessing, and requires just a power input from the aircraft.

AeroMech is accepting orders for Cessna Citation Sovereign and Sovereign+ Starlink STC equipment packages as well as scheduling appointments for the upgrade at AMI for installations.

AeroMech’s STC uses the Starlink Low Earth Orbit constellation of satellites to connect to the internet over land, sea, and remote areas where typical Wi-Fi may not be available. Starlink is engineered and operated by SpaceX and provides high-speed, low-latency broadband internet capable of supporting streaming, video calls, online gaming, and more.

AeroMech utilizes its delegations as an FAA STC Organizational Designation Authorizations or ODA, Part 21 PMA and part 145 Repair Stations to provide an efficient approach to integrating technology upgrades into a range of aircraft.

In addition to the new option for the Sovereign and Sovereign+, Starlink is also available for the following models: Citation X and X+, 560 Excel, XLS, XLS+, XLS Gen 2 models, as well as the Beechcraft King Air 200 and 300 Series aircraft and the Cessna Caravan.
